In accordance with the Standards and Guidelines for the Quality Assurance of Higher Education in the European Higher Education Area (ESG) and the Salzburg Principles, on the basis of a survey of doctoral students and universities, analysis of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and internal documents of universities in the field of PhD candidates training, accreditation standards for doctoral programs were developed. Soon, they will be discussed with universities, stakeholders and the accreditation council of the agency, which consists of representatives of universities, employers and students.
