Representatives of IQAA took part in the training session on External and Internal Quality Assurance of Cycle 3 Programs of the Erasmus+ Project in Kyiv, Ukraine (4-6 June, 2017). Members of the IQAA working group on Erasmus+ Project "Promoting Internationalization of Research through Establishment and Operationalization of Cycle 3 Quality Assurance System in line with the European Integration" took part in the training session on External and Internal Quality Assurance of Cycle 3 Programs hosted by the project partner Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics (KNUTE). In the framework of this training session, project participants from Armenia, Spain, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Poland, France and Ukraine presented their country reports and took part in the discussions within 4 sessions (challenges and solutions) on the following topics:
- 1) What are the main skills and competences, which PhD students have to develop, and are the demands of the labour market taken into account?
- 2) How do universities support PhD students in the process of their education?
- 3) PhD study programmes: how is the integration of education and research work being implemented at the moment? How is the integrity within the educational process and research work being assured?
- 4) Promotion of the PhD programme (initiatives, internationalization, cooperation.
- 5) Quality assessment of PhD programmes (IQA, EQA, ratings).
The Erasmus+ project "Promoting Internationalization of Research through Establishment and Operationalization of Cycle 3 Quality Assurance System in line with the European Integration" was launched in 2016. IQAA was included in the consortium and became a participant of this project.
The interregional essence of the project provides training on the basis of best practices, the exchange of successful experience, long-term cooperation of partner countries with the main goal of promoting a voluntary merger towards European development. The project is designed for three years, the first meeting within the framework of the project was held in February 2017 in Yerevan, Armenia. The project is coordinated by the Foundation "French University in Armenia" (UFAR).
